Explore incredible art from Tate's collection

You can visit all or some of the galleries on this route. There will also be access to toilets, a shop and an opportunity to buy food and drink.

On the ground floor and fourth floor you'll see the 12th edition of the Liverpool Biennial showing large-scale textiles, monumental sculptures and paintings.

On the first floor, enjoy Democracies, a display of the Tate collection which includes artworks from around the world. Visit Ideas Depot, a display of works selected by Primary schools in Liverpool.

Discover our display, Journeys through the Tate collection, which explores themes of migration, colonialism, and international exchange, and how they are relevant to the history of Liverpool.

Anish Kapoor As if to Celebrate, I Discovered a Mountain Blooming with Red Flowers 1981

In the foreground is a sculpture of bricks stacked up on top of each other. In the background on the left is a green and white abstract work and on the right a bright red square painting.
Dialogue is an installation that comprises two life-size aluminium alloy telephone booths, a mirror, a pedestal, a red telephone and cement paving stones.

Tate Liverpool is located on the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool. There is level access to the gallery through the main revolving doors and two side doors.

There are lifts to all floors of the gallery. Alternatively you can take the stairs.

  • Toilets are located in the basement and on the first and second floors.
  • A Changing Places toilet is located in the ground floor foyer
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the front desk
