Tate Britain Workshop

Story Space: Sensing the Alter-Ego Workshop

10 June 2023 at 11.00–13.00 and 14.00–16.00

How can you channel, sound and unlock your alter-ego?

Join Tate Learning Artists in Residence Amani, Shamica Ruddock, Rieko Whitfield and other families to explore new, inclusive worlds together.

Through an exciting combination of meditation, sound, movement and writing, you are invited to re-imagine what queer liberation looks, sounds, and feels like alongside artists.

Tate Britain's step-free entrance is on Atterbury Street. It has automatic sliding doors and there is a ramp down to the entrance with central handrails.

This event is in the Manton Studio, which is next to the ticket desk as you enter the gallery.

There is a lift between the Lower and Main floors. Alternatively you can take the stairs.

  • Accessible and standard toilets are located on the Lower floor.
  • A Changing Places toilet is not currently available.
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the ticket desk on the Lower floor.

To help plan your visit to Tate Britain, have a look at our visual story. It includes photographs and information about what you can expect from a visit to the gallery.
