Sketchbooks of Henri Gaudier-Brzeska

Avaliable online are four sketchbooks with drawings and writing by Henri Gaudier-Brzeska. They consist of 155 leaves, some used on both sides, giving a total of just over 200 pages of drawings, and six loosely inserted leaves. The covers are slightly worn and stained, though structurally sound. There is some offsetting from a few of the soft pencil and conté drawings. There are some leaves absent from all the books.

This collection of sketchbooks provides insight into Henri Gaudier-Brzeska's progress over five years between 1910 and 1914, especially in the representation of Vorticism.

Details of the remainder of the collection can be found on the archive catalogue.
