Play Studio Pop-Up: India Harvey

10 June 2023 at 11.00–16.00

Dress-up, move and play in the galleries together

Dress to express, build/create for confidence, play and interact to explore artwork and in the gallery using artist-designed play items for under 5s in this Pop-up Play Studio. Throughout the day we will have a changing schedule of customising, creating and building as well as opportunities to parade our creations through the gallery spaces.

India Harvey is an artist working and researching in the fields of participatory art practice, landscapes of play, constructed textiles and neurodiversity.

This event is part of Queer and Now, a festival dedicated to the powerful role of LGBTQIA+ art and culture in the UK.

Tate Britain's step-free entrance is on Atterbury Street. It has automatic sliding doors and there is a ramp down to the entrance with central handrails.

There is a lift between the Lower and Main floors. Alternatively you can take the stairs.

  • Accessible and standard toilets are located on the Lower floor.
  • A Changing Places toilet is not currently available.
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the ticket desk on the Lower floor.
  • A quiet space is available
